The first day of Winter wasn’t too bad as I was able to go out for a couple of nice walks on a sunny and cool day. Lulu and I even went over to Lynx Creek for a little hike around to see how things looked for prospecting this week so everyone was happy.
We got up early so of course Lulu was sll ready for a walk even before the sun had risen so she was ready to roll as soon as I put on my shoes.
Almost 3 miles this time as I was feeling good and Lulu didn’t mind putting in an extra lap and since we weren’t going out it was a nice opportunity for some extra steps.
After a couple of hours at the dog park so we could enjoy chatting with several [f our friends and doggies I decided to do a long loop walk down into Prescott center and back to see if I could add on another 5 miles to my day’s total.
It was a nice level for the most part route although the busy main street section on the way back wasn’t very scenic. I was able to do a few very short jogs crossing the roads which didn’t bother my leg too much plus I had the chance to see my furry friend Jake and give him some Christmas treats.
Tomorrow it’s a muddy and mucky day digging for gold over on Lynx Creek. I hope the water isn’t too frigid.
