On 21 November 1982 “CODA” was released, the last studio album recorded by the band Led Zeppelin. Curiously, the band had been disbanded for two years after the death of their drummer John Bonham and various personal problems of the rest of the members, such as the drug addiction of guitarist Jimmy Page.
The contract the band had signed with their record company demanded the release of one last album, so they came up with the idea of creating a new work with songs already recorded and discarded from previous albums. All they did was some production work with what they already had and released it.
Curiously the final result is not bad at all and although it is obviously not Led Zeppelin’s best work, it is true that it is a very worthy album with some pleasant surprises.
