Another buzy buzy day. I made more spicy hummus, more Macadamia nut brownies and papaya bread with walnuts and raisens.
Here is the recipe for the papaya bread. I tripled the recipe and baked in individual tins. This is the basic recipe for a 8 1/2 by 4 1/2 inch loaf pan.
Ingredients:
1 cup chopped papaya
1/2 cup butter
1/2 cup sugar
1/4 cup honey
1/2 cup brown sugar
2 eggs
1 1/2 cup flour
1 1/4 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp sea salt
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1/4 tsp ground cloves
1/4 tsp nutmeg
1/2 tsp tumeric powder
1/2 tsp ground ginger powder
1/2 cup raisens
1/4 cup chopped walnuts
Directions:
Let cool and enjoy. Or do like I do, grab some butter and spread it on and eat the first piece fresh and hot out of the oven with a big cup of coffee!
Since I make mine to sell at the farmers market, I use smaller tins. I print out my labels, cut them and tape them onto the bags while I am waiting for them to bake and cool.
I roll the tape onto my bar with the sticky side up and place the labels on face down and cut the tape, then tape the labels to the baggies or containers depending on what I am making.
I then put my products in the freezer until the morning of the market. This keeps them fresh.
