Yarrow, the Soldier's Woundwort | My Actifit Report Card: January 9 2023

Today I ran into this lot of yarrow plants and was visually pleased with the different colors of the flowers. Did you know that Yarrow was also called the “all heal” and "Soldier’s Woundwort"? This was due to the soldiers of Achilles’s army using it to treat wounds. It is said you can chew on some leaves and apply on a fresh wound to speed it’s cicatrization as well as prevent infection. I’ve personally tried it on a machete cut and it worked like a charm. A minute after the wound stopped bleeding and it closed up in less than 10 minutes, so very good stuff.
