I think my dog was bored today. I mean look at him just lying there like a lump.

Now he did get to go for a nice morning and evening walk. Same as always. I just think he missed his time in the forest that we had for the past couple of weeks.

As for myself. I wish I was still on vacation in the woods but I’m back in the city.

What else did I do other than walk the dog?

Well, I worked on the carpet in my son’s roommate’s room. It was in terrible with melted candlewax, black hair dye and even bubblegum in the carpet. I’ll never get it to like new but hopefully I can get it to "not disgusting".

Did some grocery shopping. Did some house chores

But the big thing today was blackberry picking.

As the blackberries are in season and there are LOTS of blackberries available for free it was time to get some!

So many blackberry bushes and so much to pick!

As a side bonus there was also an apple tree with an abundance of apples to pick also.

In fact there are so many apples that they are falling on the ground to rot. I find it incredibly awful when food goes to waste like that.

Now I will admit that the apples are on the small side compared to those in the grocery store.

However, a quick taste showed that they were still very tasty.

And in about an hour my wife and I collected a fair amount of apples and blackberries.

Probably about 9kg of apples (20lbs) and about 4kg of blackberry (9lbs).

The only problem is blackberries have really big thorns so have to pick slowly to avoid getting poked and scraped.

As a side note @monica-ene asked if the fruits I pictured yesterday were my own. The quick answer is no they are not. I pass a house on my dog walking route everyday which has a few fruit trees in the front yard.

Anyways, that’s it to report for today. Time to relax with my wife and watch a movie or something.
