I climbed to the lookout at the “High Trail”………….
Down below I could see the flooding on the “Badger road”. If you remember in my post from yesterday, I mentioned that the Mrs stopped our car, and turned around because of deep flood water across this road.
Take a look at the second photo!
You can see far below in the valley, a very large expanse of water covering this highway!😳
18 wheelers are still going through the deep water! I believe the only reason the Highway Patrol hasn’t closed this road, is because it’s the only direct access to Canada on this side of the county!🤔
The river is now at 77.97 feet……….
With Liz driving to work down in the valley tomorrow morning, Silvertop is feeling much better about her safety!🥰

I hiked further uphill, passing Tim’s off grid cabin. Tim just retired………
He was one of the original “ Tech’s” for the Woodstone Pizza Oven company.
H traveled around the World installing modern versions of the Pizza Oven you see in the next photos!
This was one of the original designs…….
It sits outside in the forest, unused ….….
That’s quite a shame, I’m sure it baked delicious pizzas!🙄
Silvertop was “Burning Daylight “ it was time to exit the forest, twilight was coming fast………
The old saying is “ Red sky at night, sailors delight!”😊
That would be nice, I could use another day like today!😎
