Walk this way!😊
“ Silvertop don’t walk that way! You need to take your shoes off before you get back in our car!” 🥰
The flood waters have dropped three feet. Grass is starting to reappear, where lakes stood yesterday!🙄
Silvertop and Liz went exploring to see for ourselves!
Liz couldn’t park our car in the main entrance parking lot, it was mostly still underwater!
In fact, the next photo is what locals call the “Badger”. This is one of the most dangerous roads in our county!
Probably because it is flat, and open.
Many fatalities have occurred on this road!😮
This is also the main highway to one of our US/ Canadian border crossings, and one of our main routes home.
Liz made an abrupt STOP!😳
Deep water covered the highway up ahead! Traffic was slowly moving through the flooded road. Cars were throwing up a plume of water as a traversed through this flooded road!😬
“ Silvertop did I make the correct decision turning around?”🤔
“ Absolutely honey, remember the two brothers from Church two years ago, they pushed through deep flood waters and trashed their pick up truck! “😬
We finally made it to the “River Park”.
Silt covered the banks of the still very fast moving river.
Silvertop carefully made his way through this unstable sandy/ muddy mixture to snap a few photos of the river.
“ It’s almost like quicksand Silvertop! “😳
I took one step at a time, and felt my feet sink several inches down…………….
83.5 feet is flood stage, we are now down to 79.13 feet!😇
Tomorrow we are supposed to have partial Sun…….
Nice!😎
Then the wind and rain start again!🙄
Hopefully just a little rain Lol!😇🤣
Till tomorrow Silvertop Mike 😊 This report was published via Actifit app (Android | iOS). Check out the original version here on actifit.io
