One of the open fields that my son takes Phoenix to run “Off leash”, is this Elk field at the base of Mt. Si.
After a long drive down to Bill and Agi’s townhouse, both Dad, and Phoenix, needed a run Lol!😇
Twilight is the best time to visit this open field.
Every evening, dozens of cars stop, and pull over to the shoulder on the nearby road…………
Everyone is waiting……………………
Then slowly led by several “Bull Elk” the migration begins for the evening!
This large Elk herd, is getting ready to bed down for the evening in an area on the other side of a two lane road.
I asked my son if any Elk get hit crossing the busy road.
He said it has happened, but this has become such a tourist attraction, that the Elk are very safe. This is also protected land, and they are safe from hunters!😇
Silvertop started snapping photos………….
Bill motioned for me to silence my camera shutter!
It turns out that the sound of cameras, can “spook” the herd!😳
This field is riddled with mole hills!

She can hear the mole’s underground, and she wasn’t moving, she was on the hunt!☺️
In the last three photos, paparazzi Liz, and Silvertop, were on the “Hunt” for photos Lol!🤣
“ Agi, are Mom and Dad, stopping AGAIN Lol!”🤣
“ Don’t worry Liz, we’ll leave “the kids” in the dust on the hike downhill, we’ll both have plenty of photos by then!”🥰
