Hello everyone and good day to y’all 😊 How was your day today guys? I hope y’all are doing great today!

It’s a very big day here in the Philippines coz it’s the first day of school for almost every student here. Sadly for me I totally forgot to enroll my kid for this school year 2024 - 2025 😅 I was so busy with him healing his circumcision that I totally forgot. Luckily for me it isn’t too late since it is just the first day of school. We went to school early this morning coz I still need to enroll him but the teacher already told me that my son could enter the classroom already since I’m on the process of enrolling him so he happily went in together with his classmates yay 😊

Meanwhile I was in the registrar filling up some forms and paying for his tuition fees. All in all I paid around 6,000 pesos or roughly $120. After I paid my dues the teacher gave me the things to be bought that my son needs for the school year like notebooks and other stuffs. I went home first since my son is still in his classroom when I finished at the registrar. I told my wife about everything and she told me we should go to the mall in the afternoon to buy those requirements today so that we won’t have any more problems with it later on. I told her our son is still in school and still have school in the afternoon but she told me to just let him absent for the afternoon, anyways it’s just for today. We all know the first day of school isn’t really something serious and is most likely just meet and greet.

So before lunch I picked my son, told him about our plans and he immediately agreed coz who doesn’t want to go to the mall right? (Thank you air-conditioner) 🤣 We went home, took our lunch and around 1PM went to the mall to buy the stuff that my son needs.

All in all he needed 11 notebooks with different color for different purpose

1. Black Notebook - is for the Math subject
2. White Notebook - is for the Filipino subject
3. Yellow Notebook - is for the Science subject
4. Orange Notebook - is for the Makabayan subject, is like history subject
5. Brown Notebook - is for the English subject
6. Blue Notebook - is for the ESP subject, which is for teaching good manners
7. Skyblue Notebook - is for the Assignments, this is where the students will write and answer their assignments if the teachers give them one
8. Red Notebook - is for the Araling Panlipunan subject, or social studies subject
9. Pink Notebook - is for the MAPEH subject, MAPEH is for (Music, Arts, Physical Education)
10. Gray Notebook - is for the TLE subject. TLE stands for Technology and Livelihood Education, it’s to teach kids skills like farming, sewing, cooking and etc.
11. Green Notebook - is for the communication, this is where the school puts on announcements and concerns if there are some like schedules for exams and etc.

We also bought Clays, Crayons, Water Colors, Pen and Pencils, Art Paper, Cartolina, Colored Pens, Scissors, Paper, Bond Papers, and Umbrella as well coz it’s rainy season here 😁

Aside from the school supplies we also bought some groceries as well like Yakult, Luncheon Meat, Corned Beef and my wife wanted to buy a Dragon Fruit (Yummy 😍) After buying all these things my son asked me if he could play in the playground at the other mall here but sadly for my son we have very little time left coz I still had things to do at home. I still have a lot of pictures to edit and so I told him maybe this Saturday (hopefully) While he was saddened by my statement he toughened it up like a champ. I know my son very well and I know how much he liked playing at that playground but you know sometimes you got to sacrifice something. I know that my son knows how much I love him but I also told him sometimes things don’t go your way. It’s a lesson I keep telling him since he was just a kid and now he’s already 10 years old. In a couple of years he’s gonna have a family on his own and I need him to be ready by then 😁
