Today out on the trails @madame-cyntaia and I found a 3 toed box turtle. He was powering up eating a morning mushroom. All the white in front of the turtle are bits and pieces of breakfast.
Here you can see the small pieces of mushroom on his face and shell.

I can’t be positive,but I believe this is the type it was eating but it was hard to tell in so many little bits.

The rest of our hike was nice and peaceful leaving us feeling aliveandthriving in our ozarklife.
Of course there were other mushrooms 🍄 all over. I love the orange color and gills on this one.
