I hiked today in Owl Mountains in south-western Poland. Underneath one of my peaks - underneath in the literal meaning - there is part of the Riese complex. It was built by Germany during WWII. Secret weapons, golden treasure trains - plot theories abound. The fact is, tons of rocks were dug out and tons of concrete poured in. It cost not only money but human lives.

It’s a topic for a different story. I enjoyed my winter hike and am looking forward to tomorrow.
