Today is a special day when people all over the world celebrate love and kindness. My wife and I had been really excited because we had planned to go out for a romantic date, just the two of us. But our plans didn’t happen like we thought they would. Our son Rex got sick. He had been coughing a lot and his breathing wasn’t right.

In the morning, we quickly took him to a nearby clinic where they gave him some extra oxygen to help him breathe better. But even with that, he still felt weak and uncomfortable on our way back home. My wife decided it was best to take him to a bigger hospital where they could help him more. She was right because when we got there, Rex’s breathing got even worse.

Rex has been dealing with this cough for a whole month now, and even though we’ve been giving him the medicine the doctor prescribed, he hasn’t been getting better. Later in the day, my wife called me to say that Rex had to stay in the hospital for a while to get better. It made me really sad, and I prayed hard for him to get well soon.

At home, it’s just me, my son Rez, and my daughter Eiona. Since my wife is at the hospital with Rex, I had to do all the chores by myself today. I cleaned up the house and cooked dinner, making sure everything was okay while my wife was away.

Even though today was tough with Rex being sick, there was a little bit of happiness when I reached 10,000 points on my Actifit app. It made me feel good, even though I was worried about Rex. As the day ends, I’m saying goodbye, hoping tomorrow will bring better news and thankful for the good things we have even when times are hard.
