I keep missing writing a post for needlework Monday. And these days, I am doing plenty of needle work

I just finished knitting this shawl a couple of days ago. Yesterday, I felt lousy and didn’t get much done. Today, was the day for double the chores.

One of them was to block this shawl. Blocking means soaking a knitted piece in hot or warm water - depending on the fiber. Then, squeezing out the water (no wringing) and lay it out flat to dry.

Sometimes, pinning the item in a certain shape is required. For this shawl, just laying it flat and straightening the icord bind off was enough.
