Departure on a beautiful morning - My Actifit Report Card: January 23 2024

Hi my loving Actifiters,

How are you guys? I hope you are spending this important week meaningfully with family and friends. In fact, the last few days I have been quite busy with work, so I haven’t been able to create content, travel or get a chance for physical exercise. I have always tried to connect with nature but failed this time. I finally took the opportunity today for a morning walk. On Sunday, the opportunity arose to explore the architecture of Rumassala area in Unawatuna, and thus this morning I was mentally stimulated to walk through the same area.

Heavy rain fell in this area for two hours last night, but by this morning there was no evidence that it had rained. The raindrops had disappeared due to the sunlight that fell on the ground in the morning. Lots of land in this area had been given for the construction of tourist hotels at a higher price, but there is still a lot left. In Rumassala area, which used to be a herb garden in the past, many medicinal plants can still be seen. There are many legends about this area with many topographical features.

If the sunlight falls while walking in the morning, the gatha will get a fresh life. As the sunlight fell well for my many morning walks, I had the opportunity to harness all my energy. Since it was early morning, there was less traffic on the road. It was very convenient for me. As individuals, we should pay more attention to our physical health. It is not necessary to do intense physical exercises for that. Walking between the streets in a park can burn unnecessary calories.

Many people wake up in the morning, finish their work at home and go to work to maintain the quality of life in the busy society. In today’s competitive society, some people are trying to improve somehow. Some of them are of the opinion that it does not matter in any way. People who can’t run anymore become stressed along with people who run towards progress. Therefore, if you wake up early in the morning and take a short walk, you can relieve stress and fill your mind with life and freshness.

I think we as humans should learn to relax. This can include listening to music, doing a hobby of your choice, doing yogic exercises, going on picnics, doing nothing and being quiet away from the hectic environment of your lifestyle. Also, you can use methods like walking in the morning to maintain good health. Through it, you can listen to the beauty of nature and the sweet sounds of birds.

Although many people are busy nowadays, they think about their health and focus on physical exercises. It is a favorable situation in a way. I could clearly see the Indian Ocean from the top of Rumassala mountain.
