Heya Hiva シ
Ready or not, here I come…

Adventure afoot!
So I decided to venture out a bit earlier this morning. In the process, I discovered that the more I mix things up… the more ‘in tune’ with regards to my surroundings, I tend to become. This is evident with my continually evolving thought processes. Take for example earlier today… I focused on both the strength and direction of the wind - whilst concurrently pondering on the flight dynamics of the dispersed articles frequently encountered around these parts. I was able to ascertain where new litter may potentially originate from, as well as the likely destinations of same. There’s a science to all of this this!

After…
Entwined in the grass was a strand of a plastic box tie. These are very nasty to wildlife, as I’ve seen on a rescue video once before.

After…
I couldn’t leave this large box behind, and so hastily retrieved it. It was too big to bag, and so - to my delight… I found myself being tossed about with each volatile gust of wind! This surely made for an entertaining experience.

I was thankful to this tree for holding onto this plastic bag for me, until I could get to it.

I wonder how this broken electrical cord made its way out here… peculiar.

I picked up this empty card of pills. I tried to see whether I may have been able to recognize what medication it once held, but I’d never heard of it. Littered medical waste of any kind is so repulsive!

After…
Next up was a wrapper from a chocolate coated oats bar.
Before…
After…
One more piece of glass gone! I would never walk barefoot around here.
Before…
After…
This was a hard to reach array of pieces. The dark blue thing was a long plastic rod of sorts. There was actually another one (well buried), which I was also able to collect. If you carefully look at the photo, the tip of it is sticking out (dark blue dot).

After…
I retrieved one of these the other day as well. It’s some kind of large black piece of foam.
Before…
After…
A rather unhygienic article of male under garment… glad I had a rubber glove when handling it. The funny thing is that at first, I thought it was a shower cap!
Our colourful problem…
Solution in black & white!
The rubbish was emptied in the nearby municipal bin, with my re-usable carrier remaining with me. It would have been nice if the weather wasn’t so windy, but it was a productive cleanup day nonetheless!
Final thoughts…
Ok… so the dangerous item in the hole was actually a glass beer bottle. I never expected that. The fact here though… is that someone could theoretically have accidentally stepped on top of it, and then cut themselves very badly. Stoked to have removed the hazard, including it with the other trash safely disposed of.
Till next time,
