I have around a month before I am going for a full body checkup. With the previous warning I has from the non invasive scans before Easter and knowing that something might be off-tuned in my body, not to aggravate the situation, eating clean is important and I have started since last week.
After enjoying a good serving of loads of veges from Sub of the Day from Subway (coincide with treating my colleague a sandwich also for asking his help to move 40kg worth of mugs to @dbfbfoodbank 's supporting children’s home), I started craving more veges with a thin slice of bread. But Subway is expensive and a little too much carbo when, though it’s honey oats loaf, so I decided to make my own tortilla wrap instead.
The meal serving has rounded up less than 4 HIVE, which is the cost of the sandwich from Subway. But of course, I paid more for the individual ingredients, but I can definitely make more than 1 serving.
Better still, I almost forgot that I have this sandwich maker with removable panini plates, I can easily toast my sandwich and have a warm, savoury breakfast 😋, which is better to avoid sugar spike and crash phenomenon.
Do you usually take sugary first meals just to boost your energy? Or is yours more on the savoury side? Comments are welcome!
