I played an eighteen-hole disc golf course this morning for practice. On each difficult throw, I took a bunch of extra practice throws but just counted the first one in the score. I ended up with a +4 on the course, which was kind of average for how I have been playing and the conditions.
There was a bit of distractions and some wind in the second half of the round. Doggie made things a bit more difficult as well. He really loves going out to the disc golf course, but it is harder to score well when I take him. I enjoy taking him along when I’m not trying to play for my best score.
The nice thing about having a few extra distractions is that it does help your focus and your ability to deal with things. There is always some level of distraction when you are playing. Throwing well when there are distractions is a good skill to have.
