I did a long walk with Doggie today and went farther up the path than I had before. I turned around when I got to a disc golf course.
Icy sidewalk today:
The disc golf course looked pristine and inviting and nobody was playing it:
Only slightly wet looking so Doggie and I checked out one of the baskets. What could possibly go wrong?
The aftermath of disc golf course exploration:
Doggie loved it and kept looking for mud on the way back. I was carefully, slowly stepping on what looked like some plants and rocks and managed to get by with only about an inch of sticky mud on my shoes. I managed to clean most of it off on some of the remaining snow and in the ditch.
The mud around here is not as well behaved as the stuff in the Pacific Northwest. Disc golf courses are much easier to play with even wetter conditions.
I hindsight I do remember walking around similar places as a kid and getting giant four inch cakes of mud of my shoes. It was really good fun and I would pretend I was a rock musician walking around on stage with some high rise boots.
You would think that after a half a century they would have fixed the mud problem? 😆 lol.
The disc golf course looks fun to play. Hopefully it will dry out just a bit soon. It is a big course at seven thousand feet.
