My Acti-PM2.5 Report Card: April 20 2023

As the grown-ups enjoyed a few refreshing and cool beverages on the beach as the sun went down, the kids played in the sea.

The PM2.5 numbers are terrible here right now as pollutants from Indonesia and the South of Thailand hang around Samui. With April being the hottest and driest month of the year and not a breath of wind to be found, the haze hangs in the air.

The only positive note is that it does create some amazing colours at sunset and the ocean is as smooth as silk with barely a ripple to be found.

The kids didn’t mind though and played on into the darkness, our visitors from Bangkok enjoying the chilled out beach life after a long day on the streets with their water guns.

After the final public holiday of Songkhran which was Monday, this week has been a busy working week.

No matter, it will soon be labour day and another four day National holiday! You can say what you want about Thailand, but they sure do like their holidays!

Best wishes to all. Stay safe, healthy and happy :-)
