America had to pay 642,000 Turkish gold coins for this treaty and 12,000 gold coins annually. Ghazi Hassan Pasha kept a lion in Algeria.

Gazi Hasan Pasha built a new and modern Turkish fleet within three years, and today Hasan Pasha founded the Turkish naval academies, as well as built many mosques and schools.
