All the while this morning, I thought today is Thursday until I read a thread that mentioned it’s already Friday which surprised me much. I mean, what? Really? Whew! It’s super fast!
The thing is, I had a quite a rough night, dozing on and off until the wee hours. I was glad though that when I finally got to sleep, I didn’t wake up until almost 8 am. So at least I was able to catch up on a few more hours of snooze time which gave me more energy for the day.
I was planning to take a nap but after vacuuming my little corner, the veins in my body seems to have awakened which is good too because I was able to cross off some of the things on my list and also read through over 20 long-form posts and commenting on them plus threading in between. Perhaps my productivity have increased a little today.
Was out mid-day and the sun peeked through. Took this shot before we had lunch.
It is becoming a part of my routine to take some time away from the screen at various times during the day - whether to do some stretching, take a nap, go on a quick walk, or simply a stroll in the yard and say hello to anything I encounter which mostly are the plants and at times, the neighbor’s cat and dog that come often.
Anyway, after going through posts, I decided to give my eyes some rest. We had some light afternoon snacks first before I headed out. I was thankful that the breeze calmed down so the trees are at peace. Although I like the rustling of their branches and leaves, the wind can be unfriendly to the eyes.

The husband was planning to do the laundry but he postponed it for tomorrow because the sun hid itself so soon.
I went to the backyard too remembering that the overgrowth might already be drying up and wilting. It fascinated me that whilst most of the grass have turned brown and golden, the gladiola are still mostly green.
I’m also glad that the hydrangeas are blooming. It’s good that they were spared from the weed killer. The hubby must have been so careful when he sprayed the grass and weeds around it so the plant wasn’t damaged.
From there, I found my way to where the citrus trees are. I did some pictorials while fruit-picking when I noticed a few are ripe already. One of the trees there is quite surprising. Sometimes the fruits are small and on other seasons, they are larger.

Because I’m not keen on eating more, I only took two and left the others. They taste better and a lot sweeter when fully ripe.
Some more photos were taken from there before I decided to go back down. The space needs some good clearing but might not happen soon, it could be in two weeks time. We are planning to spend the coming week at the other house but we will see.
Snacked on some chips (the husband’s idea, and it was him who picked this pack and another one when we did some grocery shopping a few days ago). Once in a while, we indulge ourselves in some guilty pleasures and this is one of them. We were waiting for the ice cream guy to come around but for some reason, he didn’t so instead of going for a run to the store, we munched on this.
I went back to my throne (chair) for more grinding afterwards. Then the other sides of life happened too around evening time. Life is what we make it they say and “yeah, very much so…”
And oops! Snooze time for me.😉
