Today I tried to jog up the steep road and it was quite refreshing pushing myself to the limit. I am a mid-foot striker so this allows my calves and shin to work equally and release stress on my joints compared to when I land on heel or toes. This form can increase or tone leg lean muscle to a certain point.
I also realised if one jog up the hill sucking tummy in, you can actually feel the abs contracting and if you land with your mid-foot, it can also help to activate the calves muscle, thus it is critical to control your speed to get the desired results.
