After a lethargic week recovering from the camping festival in Ohio, I was up and about for a classic summer double feature on Friday! Most of the week was spent running about doing errands in the neighborhood and tidying the apartment to get ready for another roommate search for September 1.

The first show of the night was Whethan’s tour stop at Elsewhere’s main hall stage for his Life of a Wallflower, Vol. 2 Tour. His support was Chet Porter, who made sure to flip off the crowd a few times for his crazy super fun party DJ set!

Whethan’s LoaW1 Tour was one of my first shows back home in NYC back in September 2018 at Brooklyn Steel, so it was a real treat to see the new tour 6 years later at my favorite venue in town! Whethan wrapped up his stellar set around 10.30 and we picked up take away Thai and got a ride back to our apartment for a quick bite and refresh before the main event.

We had tough tickets to a limited capacity Zeds Dead afterparty at another choice venue right around our home neighborhood in Ridgewood. It’s a real small intimate spot, so we were excited for the prime vibes. It would have be on the fringes of walking distance, but my partner had her girlfriend over to help us out with another ride. All this driving is hurting my step count! We’ll head out 30 minutes after midnight, so we’ll catch up again tomorrow. This report was published via Actifit app (Android | iOS).
