That’s an entire field of unpicked carrots, someone went through all the trouble to work that land, plant the carrots but never got to "collect", no idea why. Maybe the price of carrots got so low that it’s not worth the time and cost of the work required to pick, select, clean, and then try to sell them… Anyway, Max looks really tired, and no, he didn’t try to pick any carrots, he got tired from just running around in that field.
