Worth Park Lake : My Actifit Report Card: March 30 2025

The magnificent Mute Swan. A very common sight on nearly every lake here in England. There are other subspecies of swans, but around my local area, the Mute Swan seems to dominate.

I took a walk around Worth Park today and around the medium-sized lake in particular on this very pleasant sunny Mothers Day.

Another species that is common here is the freshwater cooter turtle. I spotted at least three today, in the water, or just resting upon the submerged tree trunks.

The lake looked refreshing today, but there was a slightly chilly breeze blowing in some locations.

The resident canada gueese have not yet started their clutches but are looking hungry as usual. The numbers are not as high on this lake so their must be more to come, maybe.

A nice walk today in a very popular little park. Tomorrow im back on my bike again! Hooray!
