I took a short leisurely walk in Worth Park today with some family members. We spotted a heron sunning itself. I took a zoomed image using just my mobile phone, and the result is pretty good!

There were many birds on the lake, both parent and young birds of many different species. A remarkable sight.

A nesting swan could be seen on an island, too. Its partner was patrolling the lake with its wing feathers raised in defence. The weather was warmish, but rain showers were still threatening all the while.
