Hello, there Actifitters!

How did you spend the first day of July?

On Sundays when we don’t have any plans to leave the house, we normally just enjoy a relaxed Sunday atmosphere at home. We let the youngsters enjoy themselves and play inside. Working from home is a bit convenient for their father when everything in the house is in place, compared to the weekdays when I’m serious about at least keeping the house tidy and clean.

My husband helped the kids set up their play tent after our light breakfast. We provided them fabric and clothespins so they could extend the tent whatever they wanted after they had placed their toys inside their "house", but soon that small tent was not big enough for their toys, so they demanded an extension.

This bubbly little boy, being a bossy little brother, was just sitting inside the tent giving orders while his big brother was doing all the hard work. After a few disagreements and a mild brotherly fight, they were able to agree on how their house should look.

This is what their tent looks like before we turn off the lights, and they just used a flashlight inside the tent just to make the outdoor camping experience even more realistic.

They imagined that they were camping near the river, where water was flowing. I heard a frog sound, crickets, and owls at first. Then later on, they were into "ghosts". The dark room was broken by the scream of my youngest running out of the tent towards me, screaming that his brother saw a ghost. His kuya was on rescue, saying, “Jayce, it’s just pretend! Ghosts are part of the camping experience,” as if he had already gone camping in outside in nature, which he had not.

They spent the whole day playing in the tent while me and their father were watching Extraction 2.
