Today in art class, we learned about a Russian artist named Wassily Kandinsky. He liked to use different lines and shapes in his art to make it look different and abstract, like a puzzle. Some people used to think he was the very first artist to make art like that.
Kandinsky also thought a lot about how colours make people feel. He believed that colours have their own special feelings. After we looked at Kandinsky’s art, the kids had a fun task: they got to make their own art using lines and shapes, just like Kandinsky did.
The picture you’re looking at was made by the kid I’m supporting. He is special, has Autism and I’m really impressed with his talent. The fact that he had fun whilst creating this topped it all! His art is beautiful and interesting, just like Kandinsky’s art inspired him to create something special.
And to end my Monday in a happy way, I went to an hour dance class at the fitness studio where we danced to Kpop music. It made me feel great and like I had achieved something. Maybe I was just a little tired from work today.
Looking ahead, I have the term break starting next week. It’s only a week away from work, but I believe it will be a much-needed break! Then, there are five weeks to go until the Christmas holidays. The very thought of it gets me super excited! 😄
