Mikel has relied on academy grads to take a chance to secure their first-team spot with Smith Rowe and Saka, who have been the stand-out graduates thus far. Fellow academy products Flo Balgan, Reiss Nelson, and Maitland-Niles remain on loan and it remains to be seen if they will be able to secure their spots along Saka and Smith Rowe.

Eddie Nketia looks like he’s going to be on the way out and take his chances as Joe Willock did moving to Newcastle, this frees up space for new talent to stake their claim.

We’ve already seen Charlie Patino make his debut and score his first goal for the Arsenal first team and now it looks like Omari Hutchinson could be the next to break in.

He has been in the matchday squad a few times but has yet to make an appearance. Other potential youngsters looking to break through are Mika Biereth, Miguel Azeez, Brooke Norton-Cuffy, and Salah-Eddine Oulad M’Hand who are all making waves at the Hale End academy.
