May Day beckons - raining again. Wondering how I can get my posts better than $0.11 - maybe make stuff up. Not my nature
All I do is get the steps in and try to find things of photographic interest. Today’s chore was to take my car back to the service centre to stop the new exhaust rattling. Drive down and then chose to walk the other way to St Leonards Station. Not walked this before - view up the hill to Royal North Shore Hospital
Only ever been here once. My first wife had gall bladder surgery here - close up of the building seen from the bottom of the hill
They have put some colour into the new buildings - coloured steel boxes
A few garden places - kangaroo paw in yellow
Side on of one of the original buildings. Walked the opposite way to the flow of people coming towards me - guessing this is the way to the station
Front on of the same building. This is the original hospital opened in 1902
A more modern version - not by a lot of years. Guessing these are the next wave wards - building is too big to have been nurse’s quarters
Mix of old and new and the apartments of St Leonards behind
Path went to an overhead walkway that went right into the station - location shot
Spied these art Deco apartments behind the station.
A little more zoomed in before mybtrain arrived.
Got to say itbis good to have direct access to the train line.
Was hoping the car would be done in the day. I want to get down south to see my son and to get out of the city. As the day drifted by it was clear that it would not be ready. I do want the exhaust fixed. That might take time
Resigned myself to another day in the apartment. Cooked spaghetti bolognese for dinner
Was good.
