An earlier start for the drive back to Shoalhaven Heads. Sky was blue the first time eyes opened. Car loading took some thinking - 3 security doors and access token had to be left in the apartment. Not hard with 3 of us - guard the bags at each stage and be able to open the doors. By the time we hit the road the blue sky was going away - at least a cool day to drive
First stop outside Benalla for a cup of tea - clear blue sky now with temps under 25C
Interesting name - flat lands - reef most likely a gold reef
Internet Profits mug got a showing out in country Victoria
Next stop - Holbrook - home to HMAS Otway - an Oberon class submarine
A long way from the sea
Germanton Park memorial - the spiky thing is the periscope
Did stop at Dog on the Tucker Box for fuel. No photos. The dog statue is less imposing than the little mermaid in Copenhagen - yep - little. Did stop at Yass - scenic view of the Divide from there
We took the Hume Highway route home - the path back to Shoalhaven Heads via Kangaroo Valley. Slomo photo from the road
Timing said stop in Kangaroo Valley for a cold beer and a snack
Beer garden been tidied up since we last visited. A good way to wrap up the road trip. Stopped in Berry for a quick shop.
Dinner: Pasta with bacon and tomato and mushrooms. Was good.
