Lizards in Lane Cove NP : December 13 2022

A morning of disturbing dreams - disturbed maybe. Not a cast of characters I want to entertain awake let alone asleep. Makes for a tough start to the day.

Had promised my son cooking up some meals for him to make his move easier. Took a while to get organised. As it happens time was not a factor as he had meetings until the afternoon. I changed the sequencing for the day - irrigation shopping first - then a walk - then my son

Walked Lane Cove NP hoping to find rock orchids. Heaps of lizards - first one got me by surprise. Had forgotten this park has loads

Quite happy to let me walk close by

All the same species - some moulting

Banksia serratum flowering - note the serrated edges on the leaves

This lizard moved a bit bit close enough for photo - can see the red underside

Never know what the orchid of the day will be - budding bonnet orchid. I photograph them all

As I was looking for rock orchids, I was looking up at the ledges. Saw this hyacinth orchid up high

Close up of dipodium variegetum

Track drops down to Lane Cove River a few times - reflections and a fallen tree

Found a budding hyacinth orchid closer to the track on the way back

View across the river from on high with one Macquarie Park office block just showing

Did find a bonnet orchid open - lots of leaves but only one flower

Back to the river - cannot decide which is best photo - landscape or portrait

Good walk - cicadas, lizards, a few orchids.

Headed to my son’s place - Scarlett was awake - even got a smile but not for my photos

Walked the dog. He liked getting out - moving house makes for dog getting down the priorities

Did a whack of garden tidy up when I got home.

Dinner: Fish and chips

Trade action: Fixed CSGN.SW puts
