Monday.

A new week begins. Time for a longer walk and some exploring!

@isnogud came for a visit and we hiked out into the forest, far out from the village into a part of the woods that we haven’t seen before.

After crossing this little creep I stumbled across what must be the biggest polypore bracket mushroom I’ve ever seen in my life.

The scale doesn’t really come across in the image above but I took a blurry shot from below with my hand in frame for some context.

There’s a proper little cave below that mighty big thing.

And then I found some more cool polypores. I guess we can call it a proper #mushroommonday then.

What you see in the foreground above are some big chunks of the huge tree trunk behind it that have fallen down. Some bracket mushrooms had grown from it already while it was still up there.

The mushrooms still continue to grow and have simply adjusted their orientation to the new horizontals, creating some extra funky looking brackets in the process.

Last but not least: I also saw a unicorn today!

Maybe more of a unipony?!

Actually I am not even sure if it had any horn at all.

But there it was. With it’s withered white plastic fur and creepy red glowing eyes.

How did it even get here?! Miles away from the next dewlling.
