As far as cycling goes, today’s weather was perfect! Cloudy, cool, a slight threat of a shower. How could I reject this chance?

I’m back to work tomorrow so no over ambitious riding today. 12k Mike’s is plenty. 😁

So off I go heading firstly to Buchan Park via some nice tracks that border the outer town boundary. Taking in Ifield Mill Pond.

Next after crossing the main road, into Buchan Park, the tracks are in great condition after some rainy days which tempered the hard dry surface.

After a loop through and around the lake I exited the park and headed for Tilgate.
At this point, it started to rain. I took the main picture of Silt lake on zoom across the lake. Another view of the same scene below.

We have some wonderful parks here in Crawley, and are very lucky to be able to enjoy them freely which is most important.

A good ride today. 12k miles. Not a huge distance but great to maintain fitness.
