Family is so important. It’s great when a family finds an activity that they all love to do. For The Hawkbirds, their activity is playing as a rock band!

Mom is on lead guitar and backing vocals. Dad is smashing the drums. Sunflower is up front on lead vocals and bass. She looks a little shy but I’ve been watching this family band on YouTube for a while and I see her gaining confidence. The family that plays together stays together!

In this video The Hawkbirds are covering one of their (and my) favorite bands, The Ramones. They were 70s Punk originators from New York City. The songs are short and fast. Simple to play with simple lyrics. The only challenge is playing at the speed of Punk.

The Hawkbirds put this out 11 days ago for Valentine’s Day. It has 3.6K views so far. Let’s rock with the family!

My Activity

today was the usual. Moving around the house to keep the blood and lymph moving. At night I put on the ski jacket and took a pretty good walk. 8K steps is not bad, for me anyway. It is about average.
