On the Streets

Good evening everyone, I am sharing a few shots taken today with my iPhone for my Actifit post,.

I slipped and twisted my knee this morning not to bad, but I took it easy first thing and went straight to the office and put on a knee support which luckily I keep in the office.
I did take it fairly easy today not real log walks but did do walks around the office sitting still for too long is annoying my knee and my mind LOL
Now this post will be mostly in Mono except for the last shot
I thought why not start the post with a shot of my feet between steps

Now you may think why if I am standing still for this shot are my feet at this weird angle, that’s the norm for me even without a sore knee, if I try and stand with my toes closer together as is normal for most it is uncomfortable for me.
Now I have to dress somewhat conservatively in the office and these shoes may look somewhat conventional, but when you get to the last photo you will see why it’s not and why I had to go for color for the last image.
But back to out on the streets this morning and some people have commented on how clean the streets generally are in Manhattan, this next shot is something you will see in the early morning outside most buildings in the city one of the building workers out sweeping the street, sometimes with a broom and often with a hose.

Something you see fairly regularly but not everyday like the sweeping the street, is window and wall cleaners such as the guy in this shot, which also includes another common sight, people making deliveries

Now I have shown a couple of people working hard, this next shot is of someone hardly working, chilling and checking his phone in the back of a delivery truck

As I got to this point of preparing the post a thought came to me, I try to avoid thoughts for the most part but occasionally they slip in, Why do I have such a big problem or feel awkward taking photos of people with my Sony Camera even with a longer zoom lens on it, yet seem to have no problem taking shots like these with my phone .

One thing I often see is people running along the busy streets of the city, as in this guy warming up before a run, and I used to run a lot when I was younger, but I would hate running around the busy city streets and would head to one of the parks or walkways rather than running along one of the busy streets, but i guess each to their own.

Now for a splash of color

When I first came to work in the office here it was expected that one would wear a suit and tie, now i was a Jeans and T-shirt kind of guy in the field, but I bowed to the pressure Nd wore a suit and Tie, but my token protest was to wear a fairly bright tie, my Favorites were some of the Jerry Garcia ties.
With my changed role I seldom wear a tie these days I do have a couple in my Desk for if I have to go to a big meeting, but I still rebel a little but now with my Socks
