Escape the Heat. Ice Age Island

Weekends are too precious for me, I spend them to sleep. 😪 So my grocery shopping normally happens on Monday mornings. I like that because there are fewer people and I can shop in peace.

Today (or yesterday), I went to the Mushrif Mall with the Little Miss and Little Man. As we were going up, I noticed this small exhibit.

Hey, look! There’s snow! I said.

Would you like to stop by and check it out?

It was a rather small exhibit of Ice Age animals, like this woolly mammoth.

Deym, that stare!

There was also this fox, that I forgot exactly what’s called. 🤦‍♀️

Here’s a woolly rhinoceros.

Smilodon (saber-toothed tiger). Smile! 🤪

Megeloceros. A giant horned deer.

Teratornis.

After checking out this small island, we headed off to do grocery shopping.

We did not last long and picked up only the essentials.

Full Moon night walk.

Later on in the evening, the three kids and I went out again for a short walk. Unlike the Ice Age Island, it was a rather hot night. There was slight breeze, but still, hot.

While walking, I noticed that the moon was big and yep, it was a full moon.

We stopped by the Mamoura playground for a while. There were a few kids playing and still a lot of walkers around despite the hot night.

We decided to head back home after walking around for an hour (with lots of complaing at the side!)

"It’s just a short walk. Very near," I said.

"Near for you! But not for me," Little Man responded. 🥴

Ahhhm, yeah… fair enough. Lol
