I still want to run a 10K in under 60 minutes before the end of the year. I can do 5 Km under 30 minutes consistently the problem is keeping the pace for the remaining 5 Kilometres, on top of that my route gets a lot more complicated when going for 10 Km since it involves running through places with higher foot traffic and a lot more stairs and hills. My fourth kilometre involves a non stop climb that completely destroys my will to keep running, on the bright side it makes my fifth kilometre quite easy.
I could just do my 5K route twice but that is boring. I like the changing scenery so I will keep going the usual route and tackle the challenges it presents over the next few weeks.
My legs are very sore, going for a long run one day after the fast run might not be the best idea. I need to take a rest between runs, maybe cycling in between will help me recover a little bit more while still exercising.
I would be able to get a lot quicker if I’m able to stop smoking maybe that’s the only way I can achieve the 60 minutes 10k before then end of the year. I’ve been reducing but quitting entirely is so damn hard. This report was published via Actifit app (Android | iOS). Check out the original version here on actifit.io
