Hey Actifitters,
Yesterday was a pretty busy day at work, which means my furry friends were bored!
Le Chat decided she didn’t need us anyways and went in the yard to do exactly the same thing, nothing! But outside…
I couldn’t waste an entire sunny day, so as often these days, we started a long walk with Kaia before the sunset.
I thought we didn’t have time to catch our usual views of the sunset, so we stayed a little bit in the forest behind the front yard.
But I also wanted to visit the bigger forest, the one we go to almost every day. So we headed that way. The sky was beautiful but I still thought it wasn’t worth trying to get any closer.
Even though this forest is just routine for us, I always enjoy getting to that entrance trail.
But I was very disappointed to see that for some reason one of my favorite trees was cut down. Over the years, I shared this view dozens of times. Not the same without that tree.
Maybe because it was a bit hollow near the top and they thought it wasn’t safe. I don’t know.
That wasn’t the only disappointment as another one of my favorite fallen trees had some of its branches cut down too.
I can’t see any reason for this one. It was already on the ground and not dangerous in any way.
I guess while cleaning up the mess where all the trees fell down a few months ago, they decided to cut down many other trees.
Just like me, Kaia was disappointed, but chasing deer cheered her up!
Seeing the sunset colors behind the trees, I started to doubt my decision of not going to the golf course.
So we changed our plan, and after another stop near our tree friend, we headed towards the West.
We could see the colors in the distance, but I was still skeptical we’d be there soon enough.
The colors kept getting better as we went though.
Still lots of orange and pink when we got to the North end of the golf course.
As the night started to fall, it turned more pinkish, still beautiful.
That’s when I noticed the Moon already appeared and was getting higher in the sky. Just a sliver for now.
The night was very nice, so we added again another few miles in the neighborhood to complete our long walk. That walk was the perfect break, so I could work a little bit more after and finally call it a day.
As always, thanks for stopping by and see you tomorrow. This report was published via Actifit app (Android | iOS). Check out the original version here on actifit.io
