Today started off like evert other day with an early morning walk with the dog around the park.
If you have read my posts that will look pretty familiar.
Then I took my son to school but instead of coin hunting as usually today I took a trip into Vancouver to help a friend register a Japanese import vehicle. Just a couple hours I thought.
Wrong…
I was gone for over 12hours. Walked all over the city. Now it was an awesome day spending time with a friend going from place to place getting papers done for the vehicle. That was great for just over 20,000 steps but…
My regular routine got thrown out the window.
But here’s the nice thing…
At the end of the day when I finally got home I had taken the time to prepare all the food for the day long in advance.
A sandwich, a salad, a fruit parfait, hummus and crackers and soya milk with multivitamin. My Coca-Cola didn’t make it into the picture but it was also prepared by mixing 1/3 regular cola with 2/3 diet for a palatable mix :)
If I hadn’t done the preparation in advance I would have fallen to hunger and probably dropped into a Burger King along the way home from Vancouver.
However, as I knew that food was sitting there waiting for me when I got home I didn’t stray from my diet and I really REALLY enjoyed the food once I got home.
Preparation paying off!
Still didn’t learn how to use the photo editor for coin hunt images but it will come. … Eventually… sometime :)
