What a Full Scale Busy (Hospital Run) Day it Was!

Everytime when there is a hospital run, I can pretty much guarantee that I can hit at least 6K to 7K steps.

This time I am almost reaching 10K on the phone even though there were some hiccup in between when the app stopped working and there were a good amount of steps were not recorded.

But I have no time to complain about that. 😅

The long queue kept me busy to make sure I am on the right line as it turned into a coil of lines!

I was alone as I left my mom on a wheel chair in a safe open air space do that she doesn’t need to cramp with all the unwell individuals in an air-conditioning enclosed environment.

Only to realise after 1 hour in queue I was told the department my mom usually has her appointment was shifted to a new building!

Feeling a bit flabbergasted, I had to re-queue another line for another hour… 😵‍💫

That’s the problem when hospital department migration is full of confusion among front desk, nurses and doctors.

I am taking it as if I am going to the gym, because pushing the wheelchair ♿️ with mom on it to and fro 300m x 4 times, up ramp, down slopes is already feeling like boot camp for me. 😅

After 2 hours of walking and queuing, I finally got a number for mom.

Fortunately the specialist who saw us personally was really nice and she gave really good advice for my mom, despite the secular aneurysm at the Aorta has increased by 1mm.

We are currently monitoring her blood pressure a little more as mom’s BP has been on sudden spike and drop frequently.

She no longer can have any food she used to love as well as her stomach no longer could take those oily, spicy strong taste foods.

I guess when we come to a certain age, not all sorts of food we can enjoy any longer

Good thing is despite a major delay from our actual appointment time due to all the misunderstanding and misplacing us to the wrong block, I still could manage to send mom home and in time to head off to work on the afternoon shift.

Mission Accomplished for the morning!
