Today was one of those busy Saturdays where it seems I had to go in eight different directions. I had to run around to several stores to do some shopping and some returns. Then I had to pick up a prescription for one of my kids. Then I had to go to the post office to mail some gifts. All that happened before noon.

Back at home, my husband and I finally took down the Christmas tree. We had the front door open to drag the tree out. The cats loved sitting in the sunshine coming in through the glass outside door, so we left it open for a while even though it was only 12 degrees Fahrenheit outside. In spite of the cold, it was a glorious sunny day!

After cleaning up the fallen pine limbs, and putting away the Christmas boxes, I went to the gym for a workout. I did about 45 minutes on the elliptical trainer and 10 minutes on the rowing machine, plus some weights while listening to a book on Audible and watching the playoff football game between Kansas City and Houston.

But I wasn’t done getting steps yet!

After that, my girlfriend’s and I went out to a fun nearby pub to hear one of our favorite local bands — The 70’s Magic Sunshine Band. They do tons of great covers, like Crocodile Rock, Hotel California, Love Train and Bye Bye Miss American Pie.

And of course you have to dance to music like that!

I was dancing near the sound guy, and he let me put on his head set. It was cool hearing the vocals so clearly!
