An eventful night.
Thatâs how I would describe what last night was. I met with my friends, the ones living here in Tokyo and some friends who came over for vacation. We all had a big and noisy dinner together. Iâll talk more about that in another post.
After dinner, we didnât want to part ways yet though @appleeatingapple already voiced sheâs sleepy. A baby like her values her sleep too much. I was hyped though, I couldnât sleep yet at this time.
So we walked and walked around Shinjuku, visited cafes hoping theyâd accommodate 11 people but in the end, nothing. Either theyâre done for the day or they didnât have enough seats for a big group like us. This is what Iâve always noticed in Japan. Itâs hard to find a place to accommodate a big group of people. If youâre alone, you can get a seat right away. Very opposite from where I grew up.
We came from Kabukicho, yeah the red light district Iâve been talking about in my posts but weâre just in the safe or eating zone so we didnât see anything spectacular except for the usual.
Now, weâre on the other side - in our usual place around the bus terminal of Shinjuku. We call it ăăšăżăź (read as bas-ta) which is a shortcut of âbus terminalâ.
Anyhow, it was a long walk going here and we were ready to sit on the benches braving the cold weather but when we arrived it was off limits. We think itâs because the areaâs still wet and they havenât cleaned it yet from the snow the other night. We didnât have any choice but to stand and talk. Weâre not yet done talking and making fun. đ
Eventually we found some seats so some were able to sit like me who needed it badly, while weâre waiting for some friends do their errands.
It was hard to walk around in heels especially that I wasnât used to it anymore. Iâve been just in the house or when I go out, I wear sneakers. Just tonight I felt like wearing my boots with the heels. And now, my feetâs tired. đ
While walking home, I thought of taking a photo of the street because the leftover snow from the other night was just interesting to look at. You could clearly see whatâs been passing by this alley.
All that walking have given me 10k steps but my exercise ring didnât close! Argh! Reminding myself to turn on the activity next time I walk around.

Thanks for reading!
See you around! ăăăăăžăăďź
