Taking a Tour of Downtown Chacao

Chacao is one of the most popular municipalities in the east of the city of Caracas, it is normally known for being a space where the architectural development has advanced with great firmness, it is here where we can find modern towers, elegant areas and a mountainous area dominated by high class urbanizations and different diplomatic headquarters, but few know that it is also a small space of low-rise buildings, picturesque corners and beautiful streets.

Dando una Vuelta por el Centro de Chacao

Chacao es uno de los municipios más populares del este de la ciudad de Caracas, normalmente es conocido por ser un espacio en donde el desarrollo arquitectónico ha avanzado con gran firmeza, es aquí en donde podemos encontrar torres modernas, áreas elegantes y una zona de montaña dominada por urbanizaciones de clase alta y distintas sedes de carácter diplomático, pero pocos saben que se acaba también es un pequeño espacio de edificaciones de baja altura, esquinas pintorescas y calles lindas.

To walk through the central area of Chacao is to immerse oneself in a contradictory walk, where we will find few historical buildings, many stores and a good number of people walking from one side to the other looking for goods and services. All the streets that surround the Bolivar square are somewhat wide and the buildings that are on its margins, despite having modern styles, also give us a good urban harmonization, where they play with colors and make the most of each space to make this a profitable and useful place for society.

Recorrer el casco central de Chacao es sumergirse en un paseo contradictorio, en donde realmente vamos a encontrar pocos edificios de carácter histórico, muchos comercios y una buena cantidad de personas que caminan de un lado a otro buscando bienes y servicios. Todas las calles que circundan la plaza Bolívar son algo anchas y las edificaciones que se encuentran a sus márgenes a pesar de contar con estilos modernos, también nos regalan una buena armonización urbana, en donde se juega con los colores y se aprovecha el máximo cada espacio para hacer de este un lugar rentable y útil para la sociedad.

Walking through this part of Chacao, is very pleasant, since we are leaving the overwhelming modernity and the big skyscrapers, to find ourselves in a space a little more intimate, much more cozy and full of life, where feelings and energies flow in a more natural way and where our steps take us in a hurry, since in each showcase we can find numerous objects, goods and services wanting to have us to contemplate those things that we want so much.

Caminar por esta parte de Chacao, es muy agradable, ya que estamos saliendo de la abrumadora modernidad y los grandes rascacielos, para encontrarnos en un espacio un poco más íntimo, mucho más acogedor y lleno de vida, en donde los sentimientos y las energías fluyen de una manera más natural y en donde nuestros pasos nos llevan prisa, ya que en cada vitrina podremos encontrar numerosos objetos, bienes y servicios ganas de tenernos para contemplar aquellas cosas que tanto queremos.

It was fun to make this short, but very fruitful walk through one of the lesser known caraqueños spaces, this time I only went out to take pictures and spend a different time, my interest will be to clear my mind and enjoy the most of those nice and simple things that the city has.

Fue divertido realizar esta corta, pero muy fructífera caminata a través de uno de los espacios caraqueños menos conocidos, en esta oportunidad solamente salí a tomar fotografías y a pasar un rato diferente, mi interés será despejar mi mente y disfrutar al máximo de esas cosas lindas y sencillas que tiene la ciudad.
