Cyle in his box.
Hi guys!
TGIF to all you Actifitians out there! It was a very busy Friday for me at work today, but I’m home now and don’t go back until next Wednesday. I really like just working 3 days a week!
After changing my clothes, I called Jan only to realize she wasn’t home. She had gone out crabbing with her brother at Birch Bay, and hadn’t gotten home yet, so Mike and I headed out on our own. It’s country road hiking again due to darkness, but we still got some good activity in. The road is the perfect exercise path. Actually, our long hike up into the mountains continues on in the same fashion. A hill, then flat; a bigger hill then a dip; another bigger hill, yet and so on and so forth. Even up into the mountains, you have the same type setting. It is a great workout!
I had taken Jan’s phone with me to work, in the ongoing saga of what the heck is wrong with it, story. So my conclusions (without Apple Support’s help) is that this phone will only hook to a 5Gzh network. Most, but not all, broadcast in 2.4Ghz. It doesn’t recognize it even though it. ’see’s’ it. Work has a dual band router that is both 2.4Ghz and 5Ghz. Her phone sees both, but will only hook up to the 5Gzh. If you try to choose the other, it will tell you ‘incorrect password’ for it. My boss is really a nice guy, and since I just replaced our old router at work, he let me bring it home to see if it might fix Jan’s home network issues. I do not believe her current router is dual. I don’t see 2 bands from it with my iPhone, so I’m saying it isn’t. The one from work is, and unless the modem being a satellite internet connection means differently, then it should possibly solve her connectivity issues at home. What really bugs me about this is that Apple Support is aware of this. I’ve read many a forum entry with the same issues and all that Apple support had them do to try to fix it. It’s verbatim what’s going on here. Apple tells me, as does the local Mac store, that they haven’t heard of this. Bull!!!
So, I’ll keep you posted as to the continuation of the iPhone 6s saga. I’ll get the chance to test my theory with this router sometime before Tuesday .
So keep on steppin’ out there and push to get a few more steps than the day before! It’s good for you!
A picture of a 'shroom that I took in late September and never shared. It reminds me of a boxing glove for some reason.
That’s if for now. Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful @actifit day!
