Ainsley on the move before window shuts

Ainsley Maitland-Niles is one of Arsenals many youth products to break into the first team, but unlike Saka and Smith Rowe who have been struggling for game time, AMN has seen his Arsenal career stutter, and now it appears he could be close to leaving on loan or permanently.

Like Willock, and Nelson he seems to have hit the wall at Arsenal despite playing 132 games across his Arsenal career since 2014, the midfielder has not been able to find a regular spot in either Arsene Wenger, Unai Emery, or Mikel Arteta’s sides.

He started and prefers to play in central midfield but has been used as a full back for most of his career, a fact he is not happy with and one of the reasons he would like to move on from Arsenal.

AMN spent last season out on loan with Roma, in his latest spell and throughout his career, he has spent time at Leicester City and West Brom, and it seems as if a permanent move is what he wants and needs.

One thing against Maitland-Niles is that he is a jack of all trades, but a master of none. According to reports he is heavily linked with a move to West Ham, while Bournemouth, and Fulham & two Europe clubs are among those to showing interest.

If the chance arises for a permanent deal with the Englishman, then Arsenal should jump at it, regardless of the price offered since he is never going to play and we can get him off the books.

It’s time for Ainsley Maitland-Niles Arsenal career to end and I hope he finds a club where he can play regularly.
