Walking The Rocks, Sydney : April 6 2025

Another different day lining - heading into the city for a Gundog Estate lunch and then staying in the city overnight - no driving

Parked up not far from restaurant and hotel - autumn colours and the orange slatting made the photo

This signage caught my eye - my granddaughter’s name is Scarlett with 2 t’s

Busy day in The Rocks - a lovely sunny day

Lunch set up on a long table outside - landed up with some interesting table companions - would be nice to do a rotation. 4 courses all done as share plates

The mains were an orgy of protein to match 3 great 2024 Shiraz wines - lamb shoulder, tomahawk steak, swordfish cutlet. All superbly done - fish was the best

Found this model car display on the way to the loo - called this the Ollie Shop - named after my wife’s grandson- he loves cars

Packing up markets when we left - distant city buildings

New buildings built down this end of the city since I moved here 25 years ago - EY Building - golden autumn light

Curve of 4 Seasons Hotel - it was here

Harbour view from our hotel room. When I offered to help out with some problems in our Australian offices in 1999, the two managers I recruited in London hatched a plan to get me to move to Sydney - 1st visit in this hotel with its harbour views. A good start.

We had a nap - a big lunch deserved that. I did go walking to stretch out go to bed time. Walked into The Rocks and around Circular Quay - bought a snack - then back through The Rocks - photo of the light rail terminus at the quay. Also new since I moved here

A day of steps mostly gained walking in The Rocks - was only 3k when we started lunch. This report was published via Actifit app (Android | iOS).
