the night was young, we just came out from dinner. but everyone was still in the mood for some other activity. darts! we went to go darts after some negotiations.

ikebukuro is full of activities for everyone of all ages. and here we are in darts hide out at the 3rd floor of coast building. we were greeted by a rather stylish ambiance with about five darts machine in one row from the opposite wall, a very huge jump from the previous darts bar i was in. i was in a bit of panic even thinking if this could be a wrong place. nopes! this is the mood and esthetics of the place! stylish is the name of the game!

we came in a bit early, there was only one customer in another table. this changed as the night went on eventually crowding the place and the darts machine. sorry for my underaged readers, the “bar” in darts bar probably stands for the overflowing spirits and cocktails they offered. this picture best represents the place, alcohol, darts and coins or cash. cocktails are sold at around 660 to 770 yen per glass, with slight exceptions on special drinks which could go as high as 1100 yen. non-alcohols were also served at 550 yen.

so how did we fare on the darts? we just started picking up this hobby fairly recent. i am not the best of the bunch, but i do accidentally land a couple of bulls eyes from time to time. pictures were taken as remembrance for the most notable ones. the machines were pretty straight forward, 100 yen coin for a single player. better ask the staff for non-japanese readers and speakers, their seems to be no english translations on the machine.

we usually played on a race to 0, i won a couple of times. when you have alcohol in your system, some pins land in the right places. and you get closest to 0 in the end.

but there are just times where you get a perfect 0. i did it one time. it was one of those miracle shots.

at one time, the staff joined us in one of the games and gambled tequila shots for the losers. the fame of a win or a shot of tequila, it is pretty obvious which is the correct choice for me. to my surprise, or was it even one, i came in fourth guaranteeing a tequila shot. that was such a reward punishment. @appleeatingapple won that round, she wouldn’t dare taking the shot. @ohlnwwlknat came in second but chose to take a shot as well. the staff took third, he was for sure sweet talking us through.

and this woman @wittyzell is just the bane of all evil, would finish games and get 0’s left and right.

and here is me all clouded in spirits, could not stop taking selfies of such great mirrors and lights. i was a fun filled night for sure, we came out at 4am.

oh and the bills bills bills are overflowing. i was there to enjoy the spirits indeed. but i didn’t know that we were not holding back at all.

the staff were all so nice to send us out. still in all smiles, that is japan service indeed.

so here we were out in the daylight after an overnight darts competition. i’m calling it a competition now after those seriously high skills displayed. 4am looks bright now.

the streets were pretty empty, we only had crows to judge us. they were everywhere! the train stations had all the other overnight returnees, all received “the look” from those crows for sure. and here is me signing out. all those “steps” were loads of fun.
