Hey Actifitters,
With the cooler weather yesterday, and the day off for Memorial Day, I had planned to go for a run, to follow up after my run on Saturday. But I had forgot about all the yard work that was needed, especially mowing the lawn. Everything is super green right now and growing very fast. So anyways, it took me pretty much the entire afternoon (of course, there wasn’t any morning since it was a day off…). At least, it’s all done and hopefully I have a couple weeks before it’s needed again.
After everything was done, Le Chat wanted to inspect the work. And it seems she prefers the tall grass, easier to chew on it I guess.
After spending a little time with her, it was already getting dark, so no run, Kaia and I rushed to the forest instead.
Since the temperature was much lower, I was hoping there would be less mosquitoes and it was a good day to reclaim our forest! And indeed, we didn’t find much mosquitoes, but we found the trails flooded. Bummer.
Of course, somebody was very happy about it. Night splash!
The night before I could hear the rain on the roof, so I knew it was very heavy rain, but I had no idea it was so much. This entire part of the forest was covered by water. I guess that also means that when the temperature climbs back up, there’ll be even more mosquitoes.
I was too lazy to try and go around all these flooded areas, so we didn’t stay in the forest long, and walked in the neighborhood instead. As usual, very quiet, I like it.
At the end of the day, it was one of my best step counts in a while. I don’t like yard work very much, but at least it always gets me plenty of steps. Not sure who’s still in the @poprzeczka race for May, but I hope that gets me into the podium. And there’s still more chances to go further too, we’ll see how the week goes.
As always, thanks for stopping by and see you tomorrow. This report was published via Actifit app (Android | iOS). Check out the original version here on actifit.io
