I played disc golf at the local nine hole course with my son. We didn’t score things but we figured I won one of the rounds and he won the other.

The discs fly a lot less stable at this altitude than in Colorado. It was good to get a few throws in. I’m playing the last week of the fall disc golf league on Sunday and I want to get used to how things are flying here.

It was a pretty nice day today without much rain. A bunch of roads were shut down and a few people were displaced from the recent rainfall though.

Here’s a view of the local flood gates in the closed position:

They put this flood protection in just recently because the downtown was getting flooded. Apparently the river got really close to the top of the flood gates, maybe they should have built it a bit higher.

It is hard to tell but the water level is way up there:

I could not get much closer to the wall with the camera but if I get a chance I might head down tomorrow with my 360 camera. I can get that up in the air a lot farther and it should give a better picture.
